FEELINGS ARE PRETTY RAD EXCEPT WHEN I AM HAVING THEM AND THEN THEY ARE ANNOYING. I like to think I’m all tsun tsun and :< and then feelings happen and they are terribly inconvenient.

And dude, thank you! Believe it or not, I’m actually managing to make progress on that story despite my fandom distractions. I’m around 3/4s done with the first script (and a few pages into the second), so crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to at least come close to my goal of getting the first chapter out this year. :D

2) First frame of a Titus Pullo gif. I have zero animation training, so I’ve been having a lot of fun just fooling around (and showing up late to dotiscute’s as a result, OOPS SORRY). So far I think my greatest potential lies in my intuitive understanding of boob physics:

3) “Cast photo” of the main cast of my comic. (This is just a crop, there’s like three more people I haven’t filled in.) I’m about 3/4s of the way finished writing the first chapter, so I’m hoping to have this all cleaned up colored by the time I get the first issue penciled.

Also working on the FFT Nick Fury and … some other things. I think. I’m full of wine and HBO and my brain isn’t working so good.

About a month and a half ago, I mentioned to Pigeonsoup that I was tinkering with a modern AU for my WIP comic, The Last King of KS*. She replied, &#8220;All I have to say is Alastor in a coffee shop ^_- SOLD&#8221; which is kind of hilarious because THAT&#8217;S EXACTLY WHAT I HAD IMAGINED. Anyway, the AU revolves around a visit to LA from the newly crowned (titular) king of KS, a fictional country somewhere around Pakistan/India/Iran. The country is on the verge of revolt as a result of the Arab Spring, and the king is desperate to curry the favor of a few powerful, very wealthy expats. Of course, this visit also creates a unique opportunity for those who oppose the monarchy. (So, in effect, the name of the game in this AU is Kill Sudra, hahaha.) This is the NorCal logistics contingent, Rogier, Rekha, and Alastor. In this version, Rogier&#8217;s a genius coder who crashed no small number of start-ups during the dotcom bubble and has since retired to a quiet life of smoking weed and cracking DVD encoding; Rekha is his trusty (after-school) assistant who pestered him to take her on, who is a crazy-influential blogger in her own right. Together, they&#8217;re engineering tech infrastructure to keep the protests alive. Alastor is the reclusive millionaire who ostensibly uses his wealth for animal rehabilitation at his rural estate, but he&#8217;s hiding a giant server farm and the fact that he&#8217;s providing financial support to the more ambitious voices in the revolution &#8230; including these two nerds, unbeknownst to him. Aaaand that&#8217;s pretty much all I got so far for this guys. :F Maybe the SoCal and royal contingents later? Tumblr doesn&#8217;t much care for original characters, I know. *Er, in the process of renaming the country because I feel bad using my friend&#8217;s real name for it. ^^;
